Mobile Police Station Punjab Launches, Easing License and FIR Services

Share

For as long as I can remember, getting a driving license or registering an FIR felt like it defined an entire day off work due to long lines, awful traffic, and overwhelming queues. Thankfully, the new governance style in Punjab will prioritize bringing public services to the people, saving people time and effort. The launch of the Mobile Police Station Punjab is the most visible sign of this shift.

CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was the first in the province to commission the Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit Project. It expressed vision as it was not simply a car. There was an expectation it would advance mobility to public services. During this event, the Chief Minister checked the new mobile unit, praised the workers and accentuated the new tone expected in public mobility services.

Policing and Paperwork, Mobilized

The mobile unit will ‘remove the distance’ or barriers between citizens and the services the state provides. The mobile unit will save time as people will no longer need to go to an office to get a license or police services. The revolutionary new Mobile Police Station Punjab is designed to maximize citizen convenience.

Now citizens can complete important tasks on their mobile phones, such as registering an FIR, getting any type of driving license, and renewing driving licenses. This includes learner, regular, international, and even women’s special driving license. The full range of services offered by the Mobile Police Station Punjab ensures comprehensive coverage.

After getting an overview of how the project works, CM Sharif said, “This project is a revolutionary step in delivering policing and licensing services to people at their doorsteps.” Sharif said that the staff must treat the citizens with “courteous and empathetic behavior.”

Officials said that the mobile units will focus on visiting the most underserved communities first. They will focus on centers for girls’ education, areas with working women, and far-off places so citizens can save expensive and exhausting stays. The strategic deployment of the Mobile Police Station Punjab aims for maximum social impact.

Mobile Unit Launches with a Focus on Road Safety.

To maintain the road safety, the Punjab Police has been allocating a lot of new resources to the license management and enforcement of law on the road traffic offenders. In the last 24 hours, the numbers show that the police focus on the enforcement of the law and the issuing of licenses. This twin focus is critical to the mission of the Mobile Police Station Punjab.

The Department of Police Punjab demonstrated its phenomenal effectiveness by granting the right to drive to more than 23,000 individuals. “In the past 24 hours about 23,779 documents were being processed which resulted in the granting of the driving privileges to the 23,781 individuals,” stated by a police representative.

Traffic enforcement is as strong as the issuance of the right to drive. During the same 24 hours, the enforcement division of the police made more than 37,000 illegal traffic case of enforcement fines, recorded making over 21 million in police registered fines. Along with the case fines, the police showed commendable eco-sensitivity by making 343 fines on vehicles, 29 of which were on the police station, for leaking smoke. The launch supports the overall efficiency of the Mobile Police Station Punjab initiative.

The Inspector General of Punjab police has made his directive to the police on ‘clearing the traffic violators and making sure road and eco safety is a primary shield around the people’ as a priority. For the police to train a culture on responsible driving, the Inspector General stated there were 127 driving training schools run by the Punjab police training people in the whole province. The success of the Mobile Police Station Punjab will be measured by both service delivery and safety outcomes.

Improving the Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit Project isn’t just an upgrade in infrastructure. It signifies the forwarding shift in governance. Punjab is efficiently courteous and even safer without compromising the severity of the law. It prioritizes its citizen’s needs. The vision behind the Mobile Police Station Punjab is comprehensive public service.
