National Dialogue Committee Petitions Islamabad High Court to Meet Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Jail

ISLAMABAD — A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) by the National Dialogue Committee seeking permission to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in jail.

According to a report by Geo News, the petition was jointly submitted by former federal ministers Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, Mahmood Moulvi, and Barrister Saif through their legal counsel, Faisal Farid Advocate.

The application names key government officials as respondents, including the Federal Interior Secretary, the Punjab Home Secretary, and the Superintendent of Adiala Jail.

Concerns Over Health and Visitation Rights

In their petition, the members of the National Dialogue Committee expressed serious concerns regarding the health and well-being of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi.

They highlighted that even immediate family members and close relatives are currently being denied visitation access to the former prime minister at Adiala Jail. The petitioners requested the court to intervene and issue orders allowing them to visit the detained leader and his spouse.
