Verified Pakistan is a digital newsroom built on one rule: publish it only when it checks out.
Our Story
Verified Pakistan was founded in 2024 by a small group of reporters who had spent years watching accurate stories lose to fast ones. The pattern was always the same: a claim would circulate for hours, corrections would arrive long after the audience had moved on, and readers were left to work out the truth themselves.
We started with a single commitment — that nothing goes out until a second editor has checked it — and built the newsroom around that constraint rather than around publishing volume. The masthead has grown to seven desks since, but the rule has not changed.
Who We Are
We are a team of named reporters, editors and producers covering national affairs, business, sport, technology, crime, entertainment and global news. Every story carries a byline that links to the journalist who wrote it, their beat, their expertise and a way to contact them directly.

What We Do
We report and verify news for readers in Pakistan and for Pakistanis abroad. Across seven desks we cover parliament and the courts, the rupee and the economy, cricket and domestic sport, telecom and the digital economy, policing and consumer protection, film and television, and the international stories with direct consequences at home.
Alongside daily reporting we publish topic hubs that gather our coverage of a subject in one place, a free daily newsletter, and explainers that stay useful long after the news cycle moves on.
Why You Can Trust Us
Our newsroom runs a two-pass process. A reporter files, a second editor checks every verifiable claim in the copy — names, numbers, dates, documents — and only then does a story go live. Where a claim cannot be checked, we say so in the article rather than implying more certainty than we have.
We publish our editorial policy, fact-checking method, corrections policy and ownership details in full, because we ask the same transparency of the institutions we cover. Corrections are made on the page with a dated note, and we do not quietly delete published reporting.

Ownership and Funding
Verified Pakistan is an independently owned digital publication. It is not owned or controlled by a political party, a government body, or a business group with interests in the sectors we cover. We are funded by display advertising, clearly labelled sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and reader contributions.
