Questions and answers
Who is behind Verified Pakistan?
Verified Pakistan is an independently owned digital news publication covering national affairs, business, sport, technology, crime, entertainment and global news. Every story carries a named byline linking to that journalist's profile, beat and contact address. The full masthead is on our Creator Hub, and our ownership and funding are disclosed in full.
How do you verify a story before publishing it?
Our newsroom runs a two-pass process. A reporter files, then a second editor checks every verifiable claim in the copy — names, numbers, dates and documents — before the story goes live. Images and video are checked for origin and date. Where a claim cannot be verified before deadline, the story says so plainly rather than implying more certainty than we have.
How do I report an error or request a correction?
Send the article link, the specific line at issue and any supporting evidence to our newsroom at hello@verifiedpakistan.com. We aim to respond within two working days and will tell you the outcome either way. Confirmed corrections are made on the article itself with a dated note explaining what changed. We do not silently delete published reporting.
Do you use AI to write articles?
No. AI tools may assist with research, transcription and copy-editing, but generated text is never published as reporting and AI output is never treated as a source. A named journalist is accountable for every published word.
How is Verified Pakistan funded?
We are supported by display advertising served through vetted partners, clearly labelled sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and reader contributions. Commercial staff do not attend editorial planning, do not see stories before publication, and cannot request that a story be altered or withdrawn.
Can I republish or translate your articles?
Quoting a short extract with clear attribution and a working link is fine. Republishing an article in full or in substantial part, commercial reuse of our photography or graphics, translation, and automated collection of our content for datasets or model training all require written permission. Send the article URL and intended use to hello@verifiedpakistan.com.
Do you accept freelance pitches?
Yes. Send a short pitch setting out the story, why it matters now, who you will speak to and what documents you expect to obtain. Commissioned pieces are edited for accuracy, structure and clarity, and rates are agreed at commissioning and paid within 30 days of publication. Read our contribution guidelines before pitching.
How do I advertise with Verified Pakistan?
Write to ads@verifiedpakistan.com for rate cards, audience data and available formats. We do not run ads that imitate editorial content, use deceptive claims, or block the article a reader arrived to read.
Is the newsletter free?
Yes. The Verified Brief is a free email sent each weekday morning with the stories we checked overnight. Your address is used to send the newsletter and nothing else, it is never sold or shared, and every edition carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
