Haval H6 PHEV FWD Launched in Pakistan: Price, Specs and Features Haval launched in Pakistan another variant of plug-in hybrid SUVs Haval H6 PHEV, the front-wheel-drive model which is going to be more affordable than AWD variant of Haval H6 PHEV that was launched previously. New SUV brings with itself the same modern look of Haval’s flagship model along with a host of premium features to be enjoyed by passengers while traveling on road.

A launch date in 2026 had been announced for the PHEV version of the Haval’s H6 SUV model. Price and booking details for the new model were announced for Pakistan in September, when it was confirmed the price for the FWD version would be Rs. 10,849,000 ex-factory (around Rs. 2m less than the AWD version).
Haval H6 PHEV FWD Price in Pakistan
Haval H6 PHEV FWD – The vehicle will be sold at an ex-factory price of Rs. 10,849,000. An initial payment of Rs. 2 million shall be made by customers for booking of this model, which will start being delivered within three to four months.
Note that Haval’s ex-factory prices are not exactly equal to on-road prices. After charges related to Haval’s PKDEVELOPMENT certificate for homologation for local registration, OEM warranty, manufacturers, std homologation testing, steel and road tax and port freights, etc. can be added to make for a final cost of Rs.12,549,000.
In comparison to the AWD model currently retailing at the price of PKR 12.895 million (on road) for the variant with the most premium cabin and largest wheel size, for a basic FWD design with front wheel propulsion Haval will be retailing the PHEV for approximately PKR 2 million less at PKR 10.849 million (on road).
Engine and Hybrid Powertrain
There is a fundamental difference in the under frame components of this new Haval H6 PHEV model and the AWD version of the model already launched in Pakistan.
The H6 PHEV FWD is powered by a 1.5L, turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a single electric motor. In comparison to the AWD model that has two electric motors, the single electric motor in the FWD model is coupled with a DHT-1 hybrid transmission. This setup produces approximately 322 horsepower, 540 Nm of torque and is meant for front-wheel drive of the SUV.
As mentioned earlier the power of FWD configuration is approx 322hp @ 5,500 rpm and 540 Nm @1,935 rpm of combined power of petrol engine and Electric Motor. The FWD is designed to provide best of both worlds i.e. reasonable performance, reasonable efficiency and also an affordable product.
The FWD configuration would be more apt for someone who is to drive on roads (commute to work/school etc.) on a daily basis. It will be more efficient as the powertrain configuration is simpler.
Electric Range and Fuel Efficiency
One of the main selling points for the new Haval PHEV offering is the ability to drive around entirely on electric power.
According to this report, the Hybrid vehicle has an electric range of 106 km under the NEDC test cycle. It has a total combined range of 1,106 km thereby enabling owners to travel long distances without a constant search for fuel stations. The vehicle has a 55-liter fuel tank to store petrol.
A 55-liter fuel tank will allow for plenty of longer-distance petroleum transport. Home-based charging with AC, reported for other H6 PHEV models, occurs within 3 hours or so for a full charge, while DC fast charging further cuts down on that all-important charge time.
This PHEV shall reduce greatly the consumption of gasoline for someone who drives mostly within the city and will recharge it from his/her home!
Design and Interior
As we can see from the image above, the FWD variant of the H6 PHEV does not differ too much from its sibling as most of the exterior design is retained while it’s practically being sold for a lower price tag.
The interior of the Haval H6 PHEV FWD has a five seat roomy interior with premium facia and advanced technology controls. With exterior dimensions of length 4,703 mm / width 1,886 mm / height 1,730 mm / wheelbase 2,738 mm and a large boot space of approximately 600 liters, the Haval H6 PHEV FWD is an ideal family car.
This variant of the H6 PHEV shall be fitted on 19-inch aluminum wheels having 235/55 R19 tires. Its height is approximately 175mm from the ground.
Safety and Technology
The FWD variant reportedly maintains same exterior design and safety features as the H6 PHEV AWD model along with interior.
Every essential H6 PHEV feature has been retained on the FWD model, meaning those who opt for the front-wheel-drive version won’t be sacrificing any of the premium features offered by the H6 PHEV AWD.
As pointed out above, the H6 PHEV FWD variant is loaded with same modern H6 PHEV design which includes advanced technology, connectivity and driver assistance package found in other H6 PHEV variants.
Haval H6 PHEV FWD vs AWD
It would all depend on buyer’s preferences. Yes! The front wheel drive variant offers 322 HP and 540Nm power and the AWD version offers 360 HP and 760Nm of power with two electric motors both powering the front wheels as well as rear wheels as required by the vehicle. The Front Wheel Drive model, however, is priced greatly below that of the AWD powered version at Rs. 10,849,000 /- ex-factory (score!). A cost effective entry point into the popular PHEV FWD.
Final Verdict
A Novel Way to enter the SUV market. While most SUV manufacturers have only to offer petrol and hybrid versions of their models, Haval is proffering a wide array of options including a newly introduced variant to enter the SUV market, the Haval H6 PHE.
