CrossCulture Fellowship 2027 Confirmed: Germany Offers Pakistanis 650 Euro Monthly Stipend
Germany has opened CrossCulture Fellowship 2027 applications for Pakistani professionals. Fellows get a 650 euro monthly stipend. Deadline: December 8, 2026.

Germany has opened applications for the CrossCulture Fellowship 2027, giving Pakistani professionals and volunteers a chance to spend two to three months working with host organizations in Germany.
The fellowship is run by the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) with support from the German Federal Foreign Office, subject to funding approval. Each year, the program supports 50 to 60 professionals and volunteers from more than 40 countries.
CrossCulture Fellowship 2027: stipend and benefits
International fellows receive a monthly stipend of 650 euros. The package also covers round-trip airfare, accommodation, a monthly public transport pass, health insurance, and visa fees.
The fellowships take place between May and November 2027 and last two to three months. The 2027 program will primarily be in person, though ifa may allow digital participation depending on individual circumstances and travel rules.
Who can apply from Pakistan
Applicants must be at least 23 years old when they apply. They need at least two years of proven professional experience or volunteer work in a civil society organization in their home country.
Candidates must have a solid command of written and spoken English, since English is the working language of the program. They must also be able to stay abroad for an extended period.
Students cannot apply, and neither can anyone receiving another fellowship or similar funding in the same year. The program prefers applicants with long-term social or community involvement. Knowledge of German can strengthen an application, but it is not mandatory.
Fields and the 2027 focus areas
The program is open to people working in policy and society, media and culture, human rights and peace, and sustainable development and climate justice. For 2027, Democratic Resilience has been added as a special focus area.
Pakistan is among the eligible countries, alongside Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Thailand. The full country list is on the official ifa website.
How to apply before December 8
Applications are submitted online through the official portal at applications-ccp.ifa.de. Candidates should open the country-specific call for Pakistan, fill the form, and upload the required documents.
Applicants need an updated CV in English and a recommendation letter from their home organization or workplace, preferably from a supervisor, on the official ifa template. A recent photograph is optional.
Two things to note. The portal does not let applicants save unfinished drafts, so documents should be ready before starting. And ifa has asked candidates to complete their applications personally, without using artificial intelligence. Incomplete applications, email submissions, and late entries will not be accepted.
