BISP 8171 is the official way to check your Benazir Kafalat payment of Rs14,500 for October to December 2026, and it costs nothing. If you are registered under the Benazir Income Support Programme, you can check your payment status by entering your 13-digit CNIC number on the official portal 8171.bisp.gov.pk, or by sending your CNIC by SMS to 8171, and the answer comes back in minutes.

The current quarterly installment is Rs14,500. It was raised from Rs13,500 in February 2026, and it reaches about 12 million households across Pakistan. The government has announced that the stipend will rise to Rs18,000 per quarter from January 2027, but that amount has not been paid yet, and anyone telling you that Rs18,000 is already available is wrong.

BISP 8171: What Is the November 2026 Payment

The BISP 8171 payment for November 2026 is the October to December 2026 quarterly installment of the Benazir Kafalat programme. Each eligible woman receives Rs14,500 for the quarter. The children's education stipends, known as Taleemi Wazaif, are not included in this phase and will be released separately.

Payments are released phase-wise, district by district, so families in different areas receive the money on different dates. BISP has announced no single national date for the whole country. Payment guides report that Phase 1 started on November 5, 2026, covering Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and other major Punjab cities, with Phase 2 from November 10 for Karachi, Hyderabad, Peshawar and Abbottabad, and Phase 3 from November 15 for rural areas of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Because the release is district-wise, the only reliable way to know your date is to check your own status on BISP 8171.

Eligibility is decided through the National Socio-Economic Registry dynamic survey. Households whose survey is older than three years must complete a re-survey at the nearest BISP Tehsil Office, or the quarterly payment can be temporarily suspended. If your status shows you are not eligible, visit your nearest BISP Tehsil Office with your CNIC to find out why.

BISP 8171: How to Check by CNIC on the Portal

The BISP 8171 portal is the most detailed way to check. Open 8171.bisp.gov.pk in your mobile browser. Type the address yourself rather than following a forwarded link, because fake websites with similar names are common. On the portal, enter your 13-digit CNIC number, complete the captcha, and submit. The result shows your eligibility and your payment position for this cycle.

The portal will show one of three results. If it says your payment is ready, you can collect it after biometric verification. If it says your record is in process, your district phase is still releasing, so wait and recheck in a few days. If it says you are not eligible, visit the BISP Tehsil Office to ask about a re-survey or an appeal.

The portal is free, and you do not need to pay anyone to check your status. The official website is bisp.gov.pk, and the check portal is 8171.bisp.gov.pk. Any address that does not end in .bisp.gov.pk is not the official portal.

BISP 8171: Check by SMS

If you have no internet, the BISP 8171 SMS service works on any mobile phone. Open your message app, type your 13-digit CNIC number without dashes, and send it to 8171. The reply will tell you whether your installment is ready for biometric withdrawal.

Sometimes the reply comes late because of network load, especially in the first days of a payment phase when millions of people check at once. If you get no reply, wait and try again later in the day. Never send your CNIC to any number other than 8171. BISP only sends messages from the shortcode 8171, and any SMS from an ordinary mobile number claiming you won BISP money is a scam.

You can also call the free BISP helpline on 0800-26477. The call is free of cost, and BISP offices are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

BISP 8171: How to Collect Your Payment

Once your BISP 8171 status shows the payment is ready, collect it from an authorised payment point with biometric thumb verification. Without successful thumb verification, you cannot receive the cash. BISP pays the Kafalat amount into a digital wallet, and after you receive the confirmation SMS from 8171, you can collect it.

In Punjab, Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, payments are disbursed through Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Konnect agent retailers, dedicated BISP campsites and HBL biometric ATMs. In Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, payments are disbursed through Bank Alfalah biometric touchpoints, retailers and dedicated cash distribution centres. Wallet holders can also withdraw at authorised retailers of six partner banks in any city.

Take your original CNIC with you, and go to the payment point yourself. BISP payments are 100 percent free. Nobody is allowed to charge you a fee or deduct money from your installment. If an agent asks for money, refuse and report it to the helpline on 0800-26477.

BISP 8171: Beware of Scams

The BISP 8171 programme is one of the most targeted by fraudsters in Pakistan, because millions of people are waiting for money. Remember three rules. First, BISP never asks for money, a PIN code or an OTP to release your payment. Second, BISP only sends messages from the shortcode 8171. Third, the only official websites are bisp.gov.pk and 8171.bisp.gov.pk.

If you receive a call or message from a personal mobile number saying your BISP payment is blocked, or that you must pay a fee to release it, it is a scam. Do not share your CNIC number, your thumbprint photo or any code with strangers. Report the number to the BISP helpline.
